Mrs. Liselotte Patterson: Obituary

Mrs. Liselotte Patterson, age 87 of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Blairsville, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in Raleigh, NC.Mrs. Patterson was an Army Wife moving often before her husband, Bill, retired and they moved back to his home town of Blairsville. She worked as a librarian for the Mountain Regional Library during the 70s and early 80s before she and her husband moved to Raleigh. She loved her family and thoroughly enjoyed taking care of them. She was an avid gardener and loved her pet parrot, “Bird”. She prepared three square meals per day for Bird for 30 years. Liselotte was much loved by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Patterson and a sister, Annaliese Brown.

Survivors include her son, Richard Patterson, daughter and son-in-law, Deloris and David Owens, grandsons, Michael Owens and Ian Owens, all of Raleigh, and sister and brother, Elfriede Hausner and Josef Jauck, both of Landshut, Germany.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Potts officiating. The body will lie in-state at the church Sunday from 2:30 until 3:00 pm. She will be Interred beside her husband in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Saturday, January 31, 2015, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
