Fannin County Fire Department was dispatched to the 800 block of Daves Rd. for the report of a house fire. First arriving units found the single story house to be fully involved with flames. Engine 11 setup in front of the house and deployed skid load with two attack lines and Engine 7 setup behind the house and deployed 1 attack line to cool propane tank, and prevent the spread to other building. Engine 2, Tanker 2, Tanker 7, supplied water from hydrant at Star Creek Rd. Dave’s Rd. had to be shut down to one lane. Fannin County Sheriff Deputy assisted with traffic. American Red Cross contacted for the person living in the house. Fannin County Road Department and State DOT was contacted to salt roads to prevent icing of roadways. Local and State investigating the cause of the fire.

Joy Dr. 12-10-14

Fannin County Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 300 block of Joy Dr for the report of a house fire. Arrived on scene to find single wide trailer that had been added on to and remodeled, fully involved with flames. Vehicle setting next to house starting to smoke due to flames coming from residence. Engine 4 deployed two 1-3/4 attack lines and started bringing fire under control. While Engine 5 supplied water. East Polk was also requested for additional water supply until positive water supply was setup from nearby hydrant. Fire was extinguished and all units returned to service. Local and State investigators are investigating the cause of the fire.
