MEC Took Field Trip to Lanier Technical College & Road Atlanta

Mountain Education Charter High School took a field trip to Lanier Technical College and Road Atlanta on October 24, 2014.As a follow-up to a recent visit from two racing cars, students from Mountain Education Charter High School traveled to Lanier Technical College in Gainesville October 23 to tour the campus and see the motor sports program. Students graduating in motor sports are able to build and consequently work on all types of race cars. Many of them find jobs at Road Atlanta which was the second stop in a transportation-themed field trip. Students were treated to a tour of the facility where the road course winds its way through beautiful acreage. The students learned of a variety of jobs involving the car racing industry and felt it was an informative day for all!
