Mr. Paul Eugene Wallace, age 72, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away October 15, 2014.Born in Fulton, Co. GA, he was the son of the late William Joshua and Nettie Mae Douglas Wallace. He retired from the Fulton County Board of Education as a Diesel Mechanic. Mr. Wallace was a member of the Cherokee Baptist Church in Canton, GA and served his country in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division.

Survivors include his wife Bonnie Wood Wallace of forty six years of marriage of the home; daughters and sons-in-laws, Susan and Tony Galante of Canton, GA and Sherry and Rob Ray of McCaysville, GA; grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Mann, Jason (Samantha) Ray and Josh (Lindsey) Hughes; great grandchildren, Ellie Mann, Kennedy Ray, McKinley Ray, Lynden Ray and Rilan Hughes; sister, Dorothy Amos of Woodstock, GA.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rubin Smith officiating. A eulogy will be given by Josh Hughes. Music will be provided by Eldridge and Theresa Bateman. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgia National Cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Army. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Rob Ray, Jason Ray, Josh Hughes, Christopher Mann, Tony Galante and Billy Deal. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Eldridge Bateman, Jerry Williams and Roy Aderhold. Friends may visit at the funeral home after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday but the family will especially meet with friends from 4-9 p.m. For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to Fannin Chapter 28 Disabled American Veterans at P.O.
