“The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.” Psalm 14: 1-2. O Lord, our present day fools are not intellectually deprived but are morally unwilling to be accountable to you. So, the easiest way to not have to answer to you is to declare that you do not exist. But this changes nothing except they miss the true joy of faith, and have to face life and their destiny all alone.
Such is a fearful future for those who set themselves up to live a distant life from that which is holy. Thankfully, some former atheists do come to faith and declare what fools they have been. Thank you, Jesus, that you will accept a person like that.
