Mrs. Rena Burgess Weeks, age 96 of Decatur, GA passed away October 12, 2014 at her home.Mrs. Weeks was born August 12, 1918 in Woodland, AL, to the late Homer Clayton Burgess and the late Julia Waters Burgess. She was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Howard L. Weeks, Sr.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Howard & Sandra Weeks of Powder Spring, GA , and daughter, Lynn Mailer of Decatur, GA, one sister Rozelle Higdon and five grandchildren, Chloe Weeks, Catherine Weeks, Clayton Weeks, Christine Miller and Jeff Mailer and two great grandchildren, Christian Mailer, Cameron Miller. Also several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at the Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery, on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm.
