Mr. John Maford Foster : Obituary

Mr. John Maford Foster, age 77 of McCaysville, GA passed away September 20, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Foster was born April 16, 1937 in Higdon Community of Fannin County, GA to the late John R. Foster and the late Effie Davenport Foster. He was preceded in death by brother, A.C. Foster, sister, Nellie S. Jones, sister, Ruthie F. Sluder, sister, Vernie Green, sister, Frankie Lelah Hale, brother, Arvin T. Foster, brother, George W. Foster and brother, Namon A. Foster.

Survivors include: daughter, Angelena (Anthony) Powell, granddaughter, Kristian Cooper, granddaughter, Katelyn Nicholson and granddaughter, Karlie Dickey. Many nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Delmar Davenport & Rev. Jimmy Green officiating. Interment will follow in The Hipps Chapel Church Cemetery . Pallbearers will include; David A. Adams, Winston Garrett, Jeff Johnstone, Chris Hulsey, Greg Hale, Steve Green and Honorary pallbearer James Stepp. Military Graveside Rites will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville,GA Monday September 22, 2014 from 6:00pm till 9:00 pm.
