The kindergarten classes at West Fannin Elementary School visited the Georgia Mountain Research and Education Center in Blairsville on September 9th. The students rotated through stations to discover how to grow apples.They picked apples, went on a wagon ride through the orchard, and learned about Johnny Appleseed. The research center is part of the University of Georgia. This special program is sponsored by the Education Committee of the Community Council for the Georgia Mountain Research and Education Center and staffed by volunteers.
