Mr.Kermit C. Montgomery: Obituary

Mr.Kermit C. Montgomery, age 76, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Ducktown, TN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2014He was born in Copperhill to the late John and Norah Griffin Montgomery. He was a retired ordained Minister and served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He was also preceded in death by his son, Kent W. Montgomery and a sister.

He is survived and will be greatly missed by children, Connie L. Montgomery, Dale E. Montgomery and Michelle Staton; brothers, Rev. Kenneth (Mary Jane) Montgomery and Steve (Carla) Montgomery; and sister, Diane Franklin. Ten grandchildren; Seventeen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 6th at 10:00 a.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. David McLendon officiating. Music will be by Deb Mull. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
