Fannin County High School Healthcare Science students visit the new Georgia Mountains Health Facility.FCHS students had a great day touring Georgia Mountains Health in Blue Ridge on Tuesday, August 26th and Wednesday, August 27th. Over 150 Health Science students toured throughout the days and heard about what Georgia Mountains Health Services has to offer our community including the types of healthcare workers they employ and the types of services they offer. The Healthcare Science students at FCHS are focusing on the nursing and/or Sports Medicine pathways offered at the high school right now but are interested in pursuing a variety of careers in healthcare. Health Science teacher Ms. Anne Soriero states,

“The students had a great time touring Georgia Mountains Health in Blue Ridge. Their CEO, Steven Miracle and Office Manager, Jamie Chastain took two days out of their busy schedule to make this event possible for our students and we are very grateful for that. We look forward to taking the FCHS Healthcare Science students to visit a different Healthcare Facility in Fannin County each month.”
