Mrs. Ruth Evelyn Boring Mason, age 83, a resident of Clare Bridge in Cleveland, TN, formerly of Turtletown, TN, departed this life for her heavenly reward on Sunday, August 24, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Mason of 59 years; parents, Hettie King and Earl Boring.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Mason and Debbie Mizell (husband Gerald) both of Cleveland, TN; brother, J.D. Boring of Cold Springs, TX; grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Jerry Mizell and Jennifer Mizell Chestnut; great grandchildren, Coleston Mizell, Piper, Corey and Dylan Chestnut, Morgan, Mikayla and Macie Mizell; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Gladson and Rev. Ray Harper officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Johnny Nix, Tommy Taylor, Randy Collins, Ronnie Hensley, Glen Hughes and Bill Nix. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Joe Fetzer.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday August 27, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour.
