The 2014 “Tri The Mountain Triathlon” commenced for the fifth time. Hundreds of Triathlon enthusiasts invaded the Blue Ridge to take part in the race. Eric Dunn was the first place finisher with a time of 1:15:03. Tiago Souza and Alex Marshall finished second and third with times of 1:17:08 and 1:17:13 respectively. After the race, FYN spoke with Barbara Dial, the director of the race, as well as AJ Petrilo, the course designer, about the race itself, its history and the how the city of Blue Ridge has embraced the race.
