Marilyn Ruth Phillips : Obituary

Mrs. Marilyn Ruth Phillips, 83 of Cherry Log, died on May 1, 2014. She was born Tuesday, March 31, 1931 in Reading, PA to the late Ralph and Estella Stout. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenneth Phillips.

She retired after thirty years of teaching in PA and South FL to her beloved North GA Mountains. She was very active in the community volunteering with Friends of the Library, Kids Ferst and past President of A.A.R.P. She also enjoyed her hobbies of antiquing and yard selling. She fought a brave battle against several illnesses. She never quit. A Memorial Celebration will be held sometime in July for friends and family at her home. Date to be announced.
