Mrs. Elaine Mason Golden, age 78 of Sulphur, LA formerly of Blue Ridge passed away peacefully Saturday, March 29, 2014.Elaine was a native of Blue Ridge and has resided in Sulphur, LA for over 30 years. She retired from Bell South and Walmart. Elaine was a member of Central Baptist Church in Sulphur for over 20 years. Her favorite hobbies included crossword puzzles, crocheting, macrame and reading. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and will be missed dearly.
Survivors include her daughters, Amelia Fontenot and husband Dennis of Sulphur, and Susan Rich of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Alyson Erikson and husband Vanner of Natchitoches, Alexander Breaux, Hanna Fontenot, Haylee Fontenot all of Sulphur, and Bobby Rich of New York; great-granddaughter, Landry Kate Erikson; many nieces and nephews and her beloved cats, Mac and Katie. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James “Bobby” Mason and husband of 7 years, JM “Goldie” Golden.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 3:30 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home and the burial will follow in Salem #2 Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm before the service on Wednesday.
