The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces the death of John R. De Long, well known business owner and award winning home builder who passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, March 22, 2014. Mr. De Long was born in Gainesville, Ga. and was preceded in death by his Father, James Kelsey De Long, his Mother, Mary Lawson De Long and Son Tony De Long.
He is survived by his Beloved Wife, Cathy De Long, Brother, Jack E. De Long and Sister, Sonja De Long, Sons, Greg De Long and Edward De Long, Daughters, Debra Brown, Sandra Kritikos and Karen De Long, Grandchildren, Heather De Long, Michelle Strickland,Corey Brown,Trent Brown, Amber Poole, Brandon De Long, Nicole Kritikos, Steven Kritikos and Madison De Long. Great grandchildren, Landon De Long, Jaxson De Long, Jacob De Long and Stephen Hall.
If you wish to honor Mr. De Long’s memory, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
