Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces the death of Mr. Burton Daniel Cathell, age 95, of Blairsville, who passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in Blairsville.Mr. Cathell was born in Showell, Maryland, on May 22, 1918, a son of the late Harry Cathell and Melissa Davis Cathell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps. Mr. Cathell had been preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Elizabeth Palmer Cathell.

Mr. Cathell leaves behind his children: daughter, Jane Jones, of Blairsville; son, B. David Cathell; daughter, Constance Lewis, of Delaware; and daughter, Lisa Cathell.
