School Counselor Diana Bice has been teaching the Too Good for Violence program to students at West Fannin Elementary School. Pictured are some of the 5th grade students who are participating in a bridge-building activity using grapes, toothpicks, and cheese. This was a team-building exercise to apply the skills learned on how to communicate, cooperate, and respect differences between peers.
Too Good for Violence is a school-based violence prevention and character education program designed to improve student behavior and minimize aggressions among students in kindergarten through grade 12. The sessions vary by grade level in order to provide developmentally appropriate content based on the risk and protective factors most significant for each grade level.
