Mrs. Frances Ramsey, a loving mother and grandmother passed away at age 79, January 6, 2014. Born in Polk County, TN she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Ada Beulah Parr Guy. She was a long time member of the Welcome Hill #2 Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Ramsey.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Jerry and Fran Ramsey of Mineral Bluff, GA, Terry and Tammy Ramsey of Cherry Log, GA, and Terrell Ramsey of Epworth, GA; one daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Kevin O’Neal of McCaysville, GA; her special daughter, “Daisy”; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Frances Guy of Epworth, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Pack, William Jason (Samantha)Ramsey, Cassie (Jason) Bell, Kristen (Matt) Taylor, Whitley (Jerrod) Curtis, Brittany O’Neal and William Cody Ramsey; great grandchildren, Brady Pack, Bryson Pack, Zachary, Aedan, Adriana Allen, Kyndall Paige Ramsey, Braylee Rae Taylor and William Brody Ramsey.

Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Melvin O’Neal and Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music will be provided by the O’Neal Singers. Interment will follow on Thursday January 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from the Friendship #3 Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be William Jason Ramsey, Cody William Ramsey, Michael Pack, Jason Bell, Matt Taylor Jerrod Curtis, Brady Pack and Bryson Pack. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be James Parris, Ronnie Parris, Michael Guy, Gary Guy and Randy Guy . The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 7:30 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
