Callie McDaniel : Obituary

Mrs. Callie J. McDaniel, age 82 of Blue Ridge, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.Mrs. McDaniel was born March 8, 1931 in Epworth, GA to the late Wilford and Amanda Turner Nichols. A member of Temple Baptist Church, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, George McDaniel and five brothers and sisters, Paul Nichols, Harold Nichols, Jean Espisito, Beulah Dockery, and Audrey Holden. She loved flowers and watching birds.

Survivors include: son, Eddie (Sandra) McDaniel, daughter, Judy Dyer, daughter, Jan (Bill) Kiker, son, Jeff (Cyndi) McDaniel, sister, Mary Ruth Nichols, sister, June Wehunt, six granchildren, Shannon McDaniel, Amanda Garland, Jason McDaniel, Chad Panter, Sawyer McDaniel, and Sommer McDaniel. Also nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Baugh and Rev. Russell Hood officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Hill Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shannon McDaniel, Sawyer McDaniel, Chad Panter, Phil Williamson, Donald Garland, and Bill Kiker. Honorary pallbearers are Jason McDaniel and Gerald Dockery.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
