Coach Chambers Leaves Message to Community

Below is a personal message from Coach Greg Chamber, who resigned as Head Football Coach for the Fannin Rebels earlier this week.

I would like to thank the Coaches and the players for their hard work and dedication to me over the last 2 years. They will never know how important they were to me and I will never be able to thank them enough.

I would also like to thank my wife Stacey and daughters, Carson and Campbell for supporting me and the Rebels every day.

Thank you to Mr. Cioffi, Mr. Henson and the Fannin County Board of Education for giving me the opportunity to be the Head Football Coach at Fannin County High School. I have learned a great deal that will assist me in the future.

Thank you to our Booster Club, fans and community that supported the Rebels every Friday night, home or away.

It takes a tremendous amount of commitment and dedication to do what we do throughout the year. As a football player and coach, we work for 365 days a year for 10 Fridays Nights, which is an unbelievable experience.

We faced many challenges the last couple of years and our players were always willing to face adversity in order to finish the drill.

I’m disappointed that I wasn’t able to do a better job in the win/loss category, but I know that we taught our kids many valuable lessons that will make them better men in our community.

I wish them the best in future.
