Fannin County High School FFA members attended the Area 1 Rally on September 6-7. The rally was held at the FFA/FCCLA Camp in Covington.While there members attended a leadership skills building workshop, competed in various career development event competitions, participated in a mud challenge course, challenged the blob and slip n slide, attended a business session, awards session, and the rally dance. The chapter was recognized as a top 10 finalist in the chapter of the year competition for the 2012-2013 school year. Lucas Ryan accepted this award. Hunter Patterson, David Roberson, and Tyler placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the GPS competition. Hunter Patterson and David Roberson placed 1st and 2nd in the Environmental Natural Resources Identification competition. Nathan Ensley place 2nd in the lawn mowing competition which included a driving course and problem solving activity.
