Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death of Mrs. Bertha Mae Bright Jones, age 81, of Blairsville, who passed away Wednesday morning, October 30, 2013 at her home.Mrs. Jones was born in Hayesville, North Carolina, on November 24, 1931, a daughter of the late Luther Bright and Flora Arizona Smith Bright. She was a homemaker and had been preceded in death by her husband, Reid Gene Jones.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jones have been scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville. Burial will be in Liberty Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Reid.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening, November 1, 2013, with the family especially meeting with friends between the hours of 6 until 9 p.m.
