Betty Jo Sparks, age 77 of McCaysville, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 at her home.She was born October 23, 1936 in Copperhill, TN to the late Lon and Alma Davis Williams. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Strauss Edward (Ned) Sparks, and sisters, Hazel Turner and June Simonds.
Survivors include: son; Lynn Sparks, daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Brownie Whittenbarger, sisters; Edna Randall, Helen Callihan, Dottie Arp, Marie Satterfield, Mary Arp, Loretta Nazerian, Carol Coley, brother; Jerry Williams, grandchildren; Tiffany Collins, Todd Sparks, Allison Whittenbarger, Emily Whittenbarger, great grandchildren; Demi-Rhea Collins, Scout Collins, Easton Collins and Georgia Sparks. Also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 28, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Claude Mathis officiating. Music provided by: Alanna Greene, Ryan and Holly Norton. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers include Scott Satterfield, Korey Satterfield, Jim Helton, Kenny Nazerian, Brad Coley, Bill Smith, C.J. Green, Shannon Collins and Chad Mathis. Honorary pallbearers: nephews and Daniel Stanley.
The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
