Mr. James Daniel Mealer, age 22, of Epworth, GA, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013 from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident.Daniel was born in Cleveland, TN and was of the Baptist faith. He was employed in Masonry and also as a Mechanic. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ronnie “Monk” Holden and Gene Mealer; sister, Kayle Tess Mealer; aunt, Carolee Patricia Mealer.

He is survived by his parents, Patricia (John) Turner of Ellijay, GA, Eugene (Cynthia) Mealer of Copperhill, TN; brother, Cody Flowers of Ellijay, GA; step sisters, Amanda (Jimmy) Gibbs of Mineral Bluff, GA, Jennifer (Brent) Cole of Blue Ridge, GA; grandparents, Shirley Mealer of Copperhill, TN, Fannie Atkins of Epworth, GA; Uncle, Ronnie Holden; Nieces and nephews, Chloe Natalie Flowers, Jamie Gibbs, Ian Gibbs, Albany Cole and Bentley Cole; many other cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 14th at 2:00 p.m. from the Bethel Church with Rev. Lloyd Deal and Rev. David O’Neal officiating. Music will be by Dennis Barnes and Melissa Hicks. Pallbearers include, Christopher Mealer, Elijah Witherow, Devan Witherow, Franklin Burke, Brent Wright and Brandon Ross. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh McDaris and Bryant Baker. Interment will follow in the Bethel cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon after 12:00 noon. The family request memorial contributions be made to help defray final expenses. Condolences to the family may be made to www;akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill in charge of the arrangements.
