The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels basketball team recently attended the Sylvia Hatchells Carolina Girls Basketball Team camp located on the campus of the University of North Carolina.The camp had over 50 teams from all over the country. Fannin faced an eight team division and finished with a record of 6 and 2, despite playing with a depleted roster due to injuries.
The Lady Rebels was voted the best offensive team in and out of league play.
Head Coach, Suzianne (Suze-Ann) Pass, quite complimentary of Fannin’s favorite daughters,
“I am very proud of the girls. They worked hard and gave it all they had.”
Pass was also appreciative of the overall experience, as she explained the overall camp experience.
“We attended seminars classes and met the UNC players and coaches. We had a great team building experience and a great team camp.”
