Jerry Sanders : Obituary

The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee funeral services for Mr. Jerry Sanders, age 70, of Hiawassee who passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 at his home.

He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him, but especially missed by her family: daughter, Amy Sanders; daughter & son-in-law, Lisa & Scott Denton; grandchildren, Devin Henderson, Cruz Shook, Faith Denton, Kenzlee Denton and Emma Denton; brothers, Fraser Sanders, Cecil C. Sanders and William B. Sanders; and sisters, Pamela Ayers & Sherline Rogers.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Eller officiating. Special remembrances will be shared by Larry Hedden & Norman Lipscomb. Music will be presented by Glen & Sheila Eller and Labreska McCoy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Brent Clark, Dylan Clark, Chris Patterson, Marty Sanders, Mitchell Sanders, Barry Sanders, Cruz Shook and Tyler Davis. Honorary escort will include Keith McKinney and Larry Hedden.

The family will receive friends at Cochran Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Chatuge Regional Nursing Home or Atlanta Dragway in Commerce.
