MECHS Stays Open During the Summer

Rebel's Corner

Although all the other schools in the area are closed for the summer, Mountain Education Charter High School remains open for students who want to continue working towards earning their high school diploma as well as for students who may want to make up credits for courses they have failed in their regular high schools.
Because Mountain Education Charter is a self-paced, mastery-based, accredited night school, it offers another option for students to catch up and graduate on time. Students attend school between 4:00 and 8:00 Monday through Thursday (summer hours) according to their own schedule. Tuition is free for those enrolled full-time to work on their high school diploma, but students who just want to make up a credit to transfer back to their home school, pay only $50 refundable deposit (money is returned if course is completed by July 31).

To make up a class at MECHS, a registration form is needed from the home high school. Students can still get the registration form completed before the staff in their home school leaves for summer. Classes begin on June 4th.
