Abernathy’s Fire Update

Last week, we reported a fire that took place at Abernathy’s Complete Home Furnishings and the investigation is complete.At the time of our last report, the Georgia Fire Marshall was conducting an investigation regarding the cause of the fire. Since the investigation is complete, authorities have ruled this case as arson.

The fire was set to two delivery trucks and both have been totally ruined. When FYN contacted store employee, Melody, she confirmed that the state is offering a $10,000.00 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s). When we inquired about the status of the insurance on the vehicles, she declined to answer stating that it was personal and nobody’s business.
