Brenda Pierce : Obituary

Mrs. Brenda Elizabeth Pierce, age 61 of Blue Ridge, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Pierce was born November 24, 1951 in Gilmer County, GA to the late Charlie and Ruth Whitener Herendon. A member of the New Testament Church, she was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Jimmy Herendon, and one sister, Patricia Lavvorn. Brenda enjoyed the outdoors, she loved to go fishing and camping with her family.

Survivors include loving husband, John Pierce, daughter, Rebecca (Robert Stewart) Curtis, daughter, Melissa (Rodney) Patterson, son, Brian (Jill) Pierce, brother, Ronnie Herendon, brother, Tommy Herendon, and five grandsons, Dustin Curtis, Corey Curtis, Korben Johnson, William Patterson, and Hunter Pierce. Also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 16th, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Ledford, Rev. Bob Becker, and Rev. Nathan Stewart officiating. Music provided by Alan Davenport and Flora Bell Mashburn . Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park. Pallbearers include Michael Whitener, Jeremy Herendon, Barron Adams, Junior White, Freddie Rice, and Billy Joe Rice.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
