Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces the death and funeral services for Mr. Arthur Francis Kiser, Jr., age 88, of Young Harris, Georgia, who passed away in the early evening hours of Monday, April 8, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Kiser was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 1, 1925, a son of the late Arthur Francis Kiser, Sr., and the late Eva Jane Rackley Kiser. Mr. Kiser was a veteran of World War II, a U.S. Army Air Corps pilot of a B17, and flew 103 missions in Korea.

Mr. Kiser was dearly loved and his memory will be cherished and honored by his family members: Ernestine Petty Kiser, of Young Harris; four children and their spouses: Carol and Jess Hornsby; Susan and Bob LiVolsi; Tina and Tom Burkizer; and Steve and Tracy Kiser; a brother, Earl Tevie Kiser; six grandchildren: Tracey Hornsby, Cindy Patrick, Kana LiVolsi, Malia LiVolsi, Stephanie Adams, and Sandy Kiser; four great grandchildren: Ryan Patrick, Jackson Patrick, Alex Adams, and Jason Adams.

Funeral services for Mr. Kiser have been scheduled for Friday, April 12, 2013, at 4:00 p.m., at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church in Hiawassee. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: David Adams, Tom Burkizer, Jess Hornsby, Bob LiVolsi, Brian Underwood, and Eddie Tipton. Burial will be in Osborn Cemetery in Hiawassee.

Visitation will be held at Cochran Funeral Home in Hiawassee on Thursday evening, April 11, 2013, between the hours of 6 until 9 p.m.
