Mrs. Emogene Chambers Walsh born May 13, 1934, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013. Daughter of the late Henry and Lillian Davis Chambers, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Chambers, and husbands, James Myers, Willis Jones and Harold Walsh. She was a member of the Marble Springs Baptist Church for 31 years and helped with the children and young people in classes, bible school, girl’s GA Christmas programs, bible drills, etc. She worked as manager and dietician of Peachtree School, cashier and sales person, taught ceramic classes, and retired from Myers Computing Solutions of Powder Springs, GA in the accounting department. She loved caring for her family, helping other people, doing crafts and working in her flowers.

She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Myers Sneed of Murphy, three sons, Sam Myers and Mitch Myers of Murphy, Rev. Tim (Shelia) Myers of Riverview, FL, one step-daughter, Claudia (Patrick) Walsh Dixon of Virginia Beach, VA, one step-son, David Walsh of Asheville, NC, two adopted daughters, Sallie (Jim) Coleman Baker and Jimmie (Randy) Coleman Brown. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, step and adopted grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one brother, J.R. (Opal) Chambers of Murphy, NC, one brother-in-law, James (Jo) Leroy Walsh of AL. and also several nieces, nephews, uncle, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Cochran Funeral Home in Murphy. Interment will take place at the Valley Town Cemetery in Andrews.

The family will be receiving friends from 3-6 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the West North Carolina Shriner’s Club and may be given to any local member.
