Fannin County High School FFA celebrates National FFA Week under the Gold Dome as part of FFA Day at the Capitol press release:

ATLANTA – The Fannin County High School FFA chapter in Blue Ridge, Georgia, kicked off National FFA Week by attending the Georgia FFA Day at the Capitol on Tuesday, February 19. The FFA Day activities kicked off with a legislative breakfast that was hosted by State FFA President, Dolly Melton, and featured a keynote address from Governor Nathan Deal. Attending from the Fannin County High School FFA chapter were Hunter Patterson, Amber White, Lucas Ryan, and Kelly Ross.

Twenty-two FFA chapters attended the 2013 FFA Day at the Capitol, bringing nearly 200 FFA members and advisors, FFA Alumni members and Young Farmer members to Atlanta to represent agricultural education at the Gold Dome. In addition to Governor Deal, the legislative breakfast featured greetings from Commissioner of Agriculture, Gary Black; Secretary of State, Brian Kemp; State School Superintendent, Dr. John Barge; Senator John Wilkinson, Representative Jay Roberts and Representative Terry England .

Following the breakfast, the FFA Day attendees met on the north steps of the Capitol, for a photo with Governor Deal. Members of the FFA were then recognized in both the House and Senate chambers with Resolutions declaring FFA Day at the Capitol.
