Sunday, at approximately 5:45PM, we received a report that 2 females were stranded without flashlights, water, or any means of starting a campfire on the Benton-Mackaye Trail in the Noontoola area of Fannin County. With help from the US Forest Service, Rescue workers were able to pinpoint the women’s location on the trail using the GPS on their phone and bring them out safely.
