Pauline Stillwell Scisson : Obituary


Mrs. Pauline Scisson, age 90, of Epworth, formerly of Ducktown, TN, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013, in the Fannin Regional Hospital.She was a native and lifelong resident of the Copper Basin, daughter of the late Isaac and Margaret Stillwell. She was a member of the Mine City Baptist Church and had attended the McCaysville Gospel Tabernacle.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Kenny Queen of Epworth, nephew, Wayne Stillwell of Ducktown, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 14, at 2:00 PM from the McCaysville Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Scott Baugh officiating. Music will be by Tammy Hall. Pallbearers wil be Wayne Stillwell, Jerry Fowler, Luther Patterson, Mike Shinpaugh, Dakota Queen, Tyler Queen and Benny Ensley.

The family will meet with friends at the funeral home Sunday after 2:00 pm and especially from 6 until 9 PM.

The body will be moved to the church on Monday to lie in state from 1:00 until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital. Condolences may be sent to the family at Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
