Mrs. Myrtice Guthrie Neal, age 91 of Canton formally of Morganton, passed away January 11, 2013 in Canton, GA.She was born February 25, 1921 in Morganton, GA to the late O. R. Guthrie and Bertha Ammons Guthrie. She was a member of Morganton Baptist Church for over 70 years and more recently Hickory Road Baptist Church Holly Springs for 10 years, a teacher in Fannin County School System 30 years, she was preceded in death by Brothers, Lamar E. Guthrie, Travis Guthrie and Troy Guthrie.

Survivors include: husband, Maynard Neal, son, James (Christine) Neal, grandson, Alan (Bobbie) Neal, granddaughter, Valerie (Dr. Benjamin) Tipping, great granddaughters, Abigail and Ava Neal.

Funeral services: Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Barber and Rev. Bryan Edenfield officiating. Music provided by: Mrs. Judith Barber. Interment will follow in Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Monday, January 14, 2013 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
