Fire Reports

12-17-12
20 Fire Fighters with Engine 1 and Engine 16 Air &Light, Medic 1 responded to
41 Ridge Street for the report of a kitchen fire. Arriving fire fighters found
that the residence was fully involved with flames. Fire fighters using Three
attack lines to bring the fire under control and to protect a Filth wheel
camper. American Red Cross assisted family. State Fire Marshall and Blue Ridge
PD investigating.

14 Fire fighters along with Engine 11, Engine 7, Engine 8, Tanker 2, and Medic
11 responded to 1948 Loving Rd for the report of a structor fire. First
arriving units found that the house was fully involved in flames and on the
ground. State Fire Marshall investigating.

12 Fire Fighters. Engine 1, Air & Light, and Medic 1 responded to 99 Ouida
Street. Heritage Health Care for the report of a bathroom fire. Employees were
evacuating that part of the building. First units on scene found Light to
Moderate smoke in the front part of A-Hall and employees advising that the
Ceiling exhaust fan had caught fire and employees had used a fire extinguisher
to put it out. Fire Dept used TIC (Thermal Image Camera) to check for any
other Hot spots, gaining access to attic to check it. while disassembling the
exhaust fan.

Dispatched to the Pool Room for the report of smoke coming from the roof of
the building. Arriving fire fighters found the smoke was coming from the
heater pipe. (Chimney) and cancelled any other responce to that location.

Dispatched to the area of Claude Neal Ln. for the report of a House / Chimney
fire. Arriving fire fighters found that the fire was still in the chimney.
Used TIC to check around chimney and fire was out.

Fire Dept dispatched to 33 Galloway Rd. for the report of a main fuse box
smoking. Arrived to find that fuse/switch box was loose and had been arcing.
Tri-State was notified and power was pulled at that time. American Red Cross
assisted family with shelter. Medic 4, Engine 4, and 10 fire fighters
responded.
