Darlene Marie Byrd : Obituary

Darlene Marie Byrd, age 67, of Ducktown, TN passed away Monday, December 24, 2012. Darlene was a native of the Copper Basin area. She was a daughter of the late James Cleo and Lois Marie Mashburn Byrd. She was a licensed cosmetologist having owned and operated Ducktown Beauty Shop many years ago. She was a member of the McCaysville Church of Christ.

She is survived by siblings, James E. Byrd (Sue Cheatham) of Ducktown, TN and Sheila (Bobby) Loudermilk of Blue Ridge, GA; nieces and nephews, Casey (Jennifer) Loudermilk, Brian (Brandy) Byrd, Hannah (Chris) Mullinax; great nieces and nephews, Annabelle Byrd, Clara Byrd and Evan Loudermilk.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 27th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Minister Bill Johnston and Minister Keith Ritchie officiating. Pallbearers will include, Brian Byrd, Casey Loudermilk, Scott Nicholson, L.W. Smith, Jerry Williams and Don Dilbeck. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions in memory of Darlene may be made to the Gospel Broadcasting Network, 3959 Cloud Springs Road, Ringgold, GA 30736 or to a charity of choice. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill in charge of the arrangements.
