The Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces graveside services for Mr. Morris Arden Northup, age 86 of Macon, who passed away at Pine Pointe Hospice Facility in Macon on Sunday, October 21, 2012.

Mr. Northup was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 26, 1926 to the late Zenus and Dorothy Myott Northup. Morris had a strong faith and regularly attended Mabel White Baptist Church in Macon. He was Actively involved with Wesley Glenn Ministries. Morris had a true servants heart. He loved people and was loved by all who knew him. He was always there to lend a hand and never met a stranger. With a great sense of humor and a passion to serve it was no wonder that he was so popular among the residents at Wesley Glenn. You could count on seeing him with a big smile and hearty laughter no matter what the circumstances. Morris was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Bartly.

He will be remembered by all who knew him, but especially missed by his family: sister & brother-in-law, Florence & Donald MacLane of Blairsville; brother, Wally Northup of Wausau, Wisconsin; brother, Donald Keast of Fort Mill, South Carolina; brother, John Keast of Schenectady, New York and sister, Dorothy Toole of Glenville, New York.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Union Memory Gardens with Rev. Valentin Rusu officiating.

Arrangements entrusted to the care of Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville.
