Mr. Clark Ray Johnson, age 81, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in the Copper Basin Medical Center in Ducktown, TN.Mr. Johnson was born in Polk County, TN on September 15, 1931 to the late Homer Johnson and Nora Russell Johnson. He was retired from the United States Navy and was a member of Damascus Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Johnson, Ralph Johnson, and Kenneth Johnson.

He is survived by his wife Norma Lea Johnson of Blue Ridge; children and their spouses, Kathy & Marion Simonds of Blue Ridge, Karen Johnson of Blue Ridge, Kevin Johnson of Ellijay, and Karla & Brandon Tipton of Blue Ridge; a brother, Kyle Johnson of Huntsville, AL; and four grandchildren, Holly Simonds, Andrew Johnson, Britani Johnson, and Eli Tipton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Doyle Davis and Rev. David Mashburn officiating. Music will be by Pat Mashburn. Pallbearers will be Danny Patterson, William Patterson, Scott Graves, Darrell Davis, Rick Goss, and Kenneth Holder. Interment will follow in Damascus Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Damascus Baptist Church Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
