Paul Edward Bell, age 86, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away September 22, 2012 in Towns County, GA. Born in Fannin County, GA he was the son of the late Joseph Lafayette and Carolyne Deweese Bell. He was a retired Supervisor at Lockheed in Marietta, GA. He was of the Baptist faith and served his country in the United States Army. Also preceding him in death is his wife, Charlotte Bell; siblings, Jean, Louis Evelyn, Marvin, Mary and Alice.
Survivors include daughter; Cynthia Bell of Dallas, GA, brothers; George Bell of Mineral Bluff, GA and Theodore Bell of Auburndale, FL, grandchildren; Erin Dunagan and Kristen McCormick, great grandchildren; Brinton and Colton Dunagan and Tyler and Celeste Heard, close friend, Brenda Elliot.
Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday September 26, at 12:30 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Clore and Rev. Roger Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Army. The following gentlemen will serve as honorary pallbearers: Derrick Dunagan, Tyler Heard, Michael Addington, Herb Stubblefield, Rodney Panter and Bill Jones.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-9 p.m.
