Christopher Lehmon Tanner : Obituary

Christopher Lehmon Tanner, age 40, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012.Christopher was a native of the Copper Basin area and worked in Healthcare as a Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, and served as a Paramedic, a Firefighter and a Certified Police Officer in the state of South Carolina. He was a member of the Bethany Church. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ralph Tanner and Kenneth & Hazel McArthur.

He is survived by son, Kenneth Tanner of Memphis, TN; daughter, Janine Tanner of Ontario, Canada; parents, Ray & Mary Tanner of Copperhill, TN; brother, Dr. Richard Lee Tanner of Indian Rocks Beach, FL; sister, Amy Renee (Rodney) Phillips of Copperhill, TN; grandmother, Evelyn Tanner of Copperhill, TN; nephew, Jordan Johnson of Copperhill, TN; Uncle, Charles McArthur; Aunts, Susan Tanner, Sherri Ray and Pat Hubbard.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 21st at 2:00 p.m. from the Bethany Church with Rev. Jimmy Dickey and Rev. Kevin Chapman officiating. Music will be by the Foundation Trio and William Wright. Pallbearers include Tim McArthur, Stephen Hubbard, Terry Bell, Rodney Phillips, Jordan Johnson and Eric Ray. Interment will follow in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens. Mr. Tanner will lie in state at the church Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
