FYN has learned today from a police report taken by the Fannin County Sheriff’s Department on July 26th that a 44 year old man by the name of Floyd Croy has been hospitalized after being involved in a shootout with a 18 year old Steven Hardin at convenient store located at 619 Blue Ridge Drive near the DQ Grill and Chill.
The shootout reportedly occured while Croy was exchanging personal property with a female subject. Croy, who also was involved in a domestic dispute with the same female subject on July 23rd and has felony warrants on him from the previous incident, is now at Erlanger Hospital located in Chattanooga, Tennessee and has been placed in critical condition after receiving a gunshot wound to the abdominal area.
On July 26, FYN reported that Hardin was later arrested in Cherokee, North Carolina where he was incarcerated and that the case had been turned over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. A representative from the GBI told FYN today that “ongoing and additional charges are expected to be filed”.
