Reatha Brown Parris, age 82, of Dalton, GA passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Mrs. Parris was a native of the McCaysville, GA area and was a daughter of the late Walter and Flora Smith Brown. She was a homemaker and also preceded in death by siblings, Audalee, Bill and Jasper Brown and Florence Queen.
She is survived by sons, Ken Parris and Henry Parris, both of Milledgeville, GA; brothers, Edward Brown and Arthur Brown, both of Dalton, GA; sister, Martha Barker of Epworth, GA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 31st at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow Friday, June 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the College Park Cemetery in College Park, GA.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Parries to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
