Mrs. Mary “Edna” Collis, age 94, of McCaysville, passed away May 24, 2012 at her home. Mrs.Collis was born April 13, 1918, to the late George Herbert Bruce Neal and Malissa Stanely Neal. She was a member of Kingtown Baptist Church. Edna enjoyed quilting, gardening, and loved her flowers. She was a people person, and enjoyed being around others. She was employed by Levi Strauss, as a supervisor before she retired.

Edna was preceded in death by parents, and her husband, Clifford J. Collis.

Survivors include: daughter, Rebecca N. Wade, daughter, Olivia Mitchell, daughter, Lisa Abdulla, grandson, Daniel Mitchell, granddaughter, Amanda Metcalfe, granddaughter, Malissa Abdulla, great granddaughter, Cassandra Metcalfe.

Funeral services: Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Kingtown Baptist Church with the Rev. Matthew McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery .

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm.
