Eula Mae Akens, age 69, of Farner, TN passed away Friday, April 27, 2012. Eula Mae was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church where she attended. She was retired from Copper Basin Medical Center where she worked in Housekeeping. She enjoyed her grandchildren and camping. She was preceded in death by parents, Amos and Onibee Farner Ledford, brothers, Ulysses and Truman Ledford.
She is survived by children: Billy Joe (Sonya) Akins of Turtletown, TN, Charles Ray (Marjorie) Akens of Delano, TN, Darlene Akens of Farner, TN; brother, David Ledford of Farner, TN; sisters, Barbara Ann Roberson of Murphy, NC, Iva Dell Martin of Old Fort, TN, Meritta Trenthem of Farner, TN; grandchildren: Scott Trammell, Nakema Smith, Donna Allmon, Raymond Akens and April Collins; nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 30th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Eddie Trenthem and Rev. Raymond Akens officiating. Interment will follow in the Shoal Creek cemetery.
