Buddy John McDonald, age 82 of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Murphy Medical Center.Mr. McDonald was born December 24, 1929 in Andrews to the late Bob and Hannah Dailey McDonald. A member of Boiling Spring Baptist Church he enjoyed gardening, hunting and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by sisters, Lenore Totherow, Gennive Totherow and Belvia Caldwell.
Survivors include: wife, Louise McDonald, son, David (Kelley) McDonald, grandchildren, Kendric and Dillon McDonald, Brother, Wilford (Thelma) McDonald of Murphy, sisters, Ollie (Fred Jr.) Martin of Brasstown, Nina (Graland Jr.) Graves of Murphy and Ellen (Arnold) Sealbolt of Covington, Ga.
Funeral services: Friday, April 20, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddis Dockery and Rev. Dean Hall officiating. Music provided by: Boiling Springs Baptist Church Choir.
Interment will follow Saturday morning at 10:00 A.M. in Hanging Dog Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Keith Martin, Jeff Martin, Rhuel Hughes, Jimmy Totherow, Nathan Harbin and Robert Caldwell.
The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy, Friday, April 20, 2012 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
