Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces funeral services for Mr. Boyce Layman Robertson, age 81, of Hiawassee, Georgia, who passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012.

Mr. Robertson was born on Tuesday, January 27, 1931, in Cedar Bluff, Alabama, a son of the late Erby Arnold and the late Gertie Eleanora Butler Robertson. He was a member of Woods Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Robertson’s family members include his loving wife of 52 years, Christine Allison Robertson; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Virginia Stovall and Robert Glenn Stovall; granddaughter, Samantha Michele Stovall; grandson, Trever Nicholas Stovall; brothers, Larry Don Robertson, Arnold Robertson, Kenneth Robertson, John Robertson; and sisters, Mary Givens, Eleanora Richardson, and Barbara Hilyer.

Funeral services for Mr. Robertson are scheduled for Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Hiawassee, with Rev. Darryl Dale officiating. Burial will be in Woods Grove Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, starting at 12 noon, prior to the funeral services.
