Arvel Seabolt : Obituary

Mr. Arvel Seabolt, age 85 of Suches, passed away March 7, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Atlanta. Arvel was born October 18, 1926 in Suches, GA to the late Benjamin and Evie Garrett Seabolt. He was a member of Cooper’s Creek Baptist Church, and served in the Army during WW II. He loved hunting, fishing, and farming. A wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, he was loved very much. Preceding him in death are two sisters, May Dixon and Betty Seabolt.

Survivors include wife, Johnnie Grace Gooch Seabolt, two sons, Ralph (Pearl) Seabolt, and Alan Seabolt, one daughter, Florence (Hugh) Cain, one sister, Martha Payne, two brothers, Harley Seabolt and William Seabolt, grandchildren, Steven (Kimberly) Cain, and Wesley (Emily) Seabolt. Also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 9, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. George Burch officiating. Music provided by Jannie Turner. Interment will follow in the Cooper’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The gentlemen serving as Pallbearers will be Larry Seabolt, Lloyd Seabolt, Glen Payne, Jerry Payne, Steven Cain and Wesley Seabolt.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
