Mrs. Dollie Dimples Ray, age 80 of Morganton, passed away February 14, 2012 at Life Care Center of Copper Basin.Mrs. Ray was born May 10, 1931 in Fannin, GA to Hershel and Gertrude Kyle Payne. A member of Hothouse Baptist Church in Mineral Bluff, she was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clem B. “C.B.” Ray.
Survivors include: sister, Janie Tankersley, brother, Stoney Reed Payne, sister, Sue Guy, sister, Patsy Payne, sister, Nina Mae Stillwell, sister, Sylvia Payne, brother, Randall Payne, brother, Clay Payne.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 2:00pm in the Henry Cochran Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. A.J. Heaton officiating. Interment will follow in Douthit Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 4:00-9:00pm.
