7th Grade Lady Rebels Trump Lady Tigers, but 8th Grade Lady Tigers Coast to Win Over Lady Rebels
Uncategorized January 23, 2012The 7th graders tipped off at 4 o’clock on Thursday evening. The Lady Tigers took an early lead and held on to it through the third quarter, but Fannin’s Haylee Franklin kept the Lady Rebels in the game with her defensive prowess. With two minutes and fifty-one seconds left in the fourth quarter, Ashley Lopez hit two crucial free throws to give the Lady Rebels the lead. A lead that once they go, Fannin never handed back to the Lady tigers, winning the game 26-20. Avery White led Fannin players with 9 points.
Next up were the 8th graders who seemed a little overmatched playing Dawson. Fannin did not score a point until Candace Seabolt scored in the third quarter, bringing the score to 23-2 in favor of the Lady Tigers. Lacey Walden and Kakyra Degree both scored in the fourth quarter bringing Fannin’s collective score to 6 points. The Lady Tigers took this game easily, winning 31-6.
